Leveraging your strengths

Domains of strength

The links below provide brief descriptions of the four domains of CliftonStrengths. Take a look at each one and identify what you think is your primary domain of strength.

Aim your strengths at the right resources

I intentionally offer a variety of ways for you to engage with the material, with each other, and with me. Depending on your primary domain of strength, you may find it easier to utilize some resources or learning opportunities over others.

  • Executing. The list of learning objectives and course calendar can keep you organized and on task throughout the semester.
  • Influencing. Presentations give you the opportunity to learn by teaching.
  • Relationship building. In-class discussions and group work on problem sets let you learn collaboratively.
  • Strategic thinking. Reflection periods and Piazza discussions give you time to think deeply about the material before contributing.
