Discrete mathematics

Course description

An introduction to discrete mathematics using a variety of topics, potentially including: logic, set theory, linear algebra, sequences, series, number theory, graph theory, combinatorics, probability, relations, functions, and other topics.  Common techniques in proof-writing are discussed,  and the reading, writing, and evaluating of mathematical proofs is emphasized. This course is intended to prepare students for upper-level mathematics courses.
